I promised to tell you about every step of the way My Body Journey and about all the challenges I'm going to face in this whole weight loss process, but look, I haven't kept my word. Even when the scale showed 20kg less, I didn't have the courage to come here and be proud of you, even though my soul was screaming with joy. I don't know what held me back. But maybe the right time will never come, so I decided not to wait for him.
Due to health problems I was forced to lose weight. That was one of my lessons from 2015, and even though I arrived in June, I still hadn't done anything about it. I had no will, that the motivation existed. And the truth is, I didn't even know how to lose weight. The universal sport + diet formula had not worked so far. Ah, and I've never liked sports. And I'm greedy. The premises in my case were never good, especially since a hormonal disorder in childhood made me prone to a predisposition to obesity. The situation is not rosy, but I am not the only person in this situation. Solutions can certainly be found, even if you have to try endlessly until you manage to find the lucky formula.
I have tried many times with sports and diet, and those who have been reading me for a long time know how many attempts I have had and what results I have obtained. But this time I succeeded because I have with me a professional with a real experience in this domain. At the beginning of June 2015, I met Iulian Dinu, my coach.
There was no chemistry between us at all, at least not from me. At the first meeting (because Iulian always meets with his future clients to discuss how they can collaborate to achieve the client's goals) he seemed proud and full of him. I felt that he wanted to make the demanding coach and the more I showed him my skepticism, the more he wanted to show me how much I was wrong. My luck was that he was an honest man and a true professional who proved to me that I was wrong by results and not by arrogant gestures.
Losing weight is not easy. You have to make a lot of changes in your life in order to succeed. It was hard for me, but the price paid doesn't seem too high compared to the reward. I can say that so far I have gone through a moderate to difficult weight loss process. It was damn hard at first to understand that food should feed and nourish my body, not reward or comfort me. Not to mention sports. For the first 4-5 months I crawled to training. Until I got used to the effort, the panting I was embarrassed by, the sweat that ruined my hair every time, the molded clothes in which I did not feel comfortable, the 15, 20, 25, 30 and then 50 repetitions of 5 months passed for each exercise, with Iulian who was satisfied only when I could support a training at a fast pace. 5 months and a few many extra pounds.
Do you know when I realized I lost weight? Only in January of this year when I saw the picture below from the C&A event. It was only after almost 8 months that I saw myself for the first time exactly as I was. Losing weight not only affects you physically, but also mentally.
I had gone from measure 52 to measure 46, but I still wasn't aware of that. The first time I tried on a pair of H&M 46 jeans, I didn't even buy them for fear that they were fooling me or that they had the wrong label. I also went to Marks & Spencer and to my surprise, measure 16 came to me (the Romanian equivalent of 46). It's like the sky has opened, I swear to you! I bought them on the spot just so I could take home the tangible proof that I'm 46 now.
How did I lose weight? I didn't succeed alone. In fact, I feel that 90% deserves credit to Iulian atDinu who knew how to guide me, push me from behind, motivate me, teach me to be patient and show me where I am wrong, to set my mind to adopt a healthy lifestyle that helped me become a person who now loves sports. And if in January 2015 I couldn't even get out of bed due to spinal problems, in January 2016 I managed to run 3km on the treadmill without stopping.
To lose weight you need motivation, will and patience or Iulian Dinu to teach you to touch the first three. There were times when I was very motivated and focused, when I went to the gym regularly 3 times a week and ate correctly and in portions, but there were also times when I no longer deprived myself of my pleasures or when Iulian had to call me. and call me to the gym. It's human to lose motivation along the way, but I was lucky to have someone who always put me on the right track when I started skidding. You need support and you should not be afraid or ashamed to ask for it. Think that when you don't know how to do something you have to turn to someone who knows. Iulian and I have been a team since the first training session, even if I didn't realize it. But now I know that all his sports and nutrition tips have brought me here and will take me further. Only now do I realize that he always trusted me, even when I didn't.
I promise that from now on I will be braver and tell you more often how I go through this whole weight loss process because I know for sure that I would have liked to read the real experience of a moment when I was at a standstill. people who pass and understand perfectly everything that presupposes weight loss.

Bravo my dear. I believed in you from the beginning, because I know how difficult it is to start. Be careful to stay. I'm in a relapse for the second time because I stopped playing sports. 16kg down, 16 up, 11 down, 4 up already. What does it mean without sports and crazy food? Congratulations for the huge effort and for the courage to continue. I also lost weight with Iulian - maybe he will confirm how much I put him in the wheels :)) - then I went back to the old habits. I found support again in 2013, I lost weight. I got pregnant, my boy is 10 months old, and I'm at my maximum weight again. I will resume a weight loss routine at some point, for now I am focused on cooking healthy foods for my son (and it can be seen in my diet, although fatigue and nerves, inevitable when you have babies, still give in to nonsense ) and to air it in the most pleasant environments. I worked a lot on self-love, on accepting the body and discovering how much it can do. And the child opened my eyes to how wonderful our bodies are. They do not need torment, they need real food and free will. The rest is for the eyes of the world 🙂
