As you can see, I started writing on the blog constantly. I realized that I like writing the most and that I don't have to let other activities steal my pleasure. So, I decided to post a review of a product that I really like every week. Today you chose on Instagram to tell you about the cream CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 25 for normal to dry skin which I introduced into my routine about a month and a half ago. First I started using Cerave Facial Moisturizing Lotion with 3 essential ceramides, niacinamides and hyaluronic acid also for normal to dry skin and because it suited me extraordinarily well (I'm already on the third tube), I decided to buy the version with SPF that has different formula and texture.
About Cerave
CeraVe is a US brand developed by a series of dermatologists who have chosen to use in the product formulas three types of essential ceramides (ceramides 1,3 and 6-II), fatty acids and other lipids with repairing effects and which strengthen the natural barrier of skin protection.
The technology they have developed is called MultiVesicular Emulsion Technology (MVE) and involves releasing moisturizing ingredients throughout all 24 hours, adding layer upon layer to keep the skin smooth all day long.
Cerave is one of the most award-winning care brands awarded by the National Eczema Association.
Formula CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 25 (for normal to dry skin)
This cream has a clean formula. Contains both UVB and UVA sunscreen filters. The filters used are chemical (so they absorb ultraviolet rays) and are quite easily tolerated even by more sensitive skin (Homosalate 10%, octocryleneand 7%, Octisalate 5% and Avobenzone 3%). I wrote here about sensitive skin and how it manifests.
In addition, more contains the three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and MVE technology.
ceramides are lipids (oils) that are found naturally in the skin and play an important role in keeping the skin hydrated. Without them, the skin may become dry, irritated or itchy. When the level of ceramides is low, the skin's natural barrier is weakened and moisturizers cannot be kept inside. Applying ceramides directly to the skin helps maintain moisturizers in the skin, they restore the skin's natural protective barrier and increase the level of hydration and comfort.
Niacinamides from the Cerave formulas are the ones that attracted me to this brand. Niacinamides are an essential B Vitamin that improves skin texture. If applied directly on the skin, they strengthen the skin's natural barrier, repair where needed, prevent dehydration and have visible effects on the appearance of the skin. But I love this ingredient because it regulates the activity of the sebaceous glands and I think that introducing it into my care routine has played an important role in this regard.. I also use The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc serum. In addition, this ingredient is extremely versatile because it can be used by people with any skin type, even sensitive.
CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 25 does not contain perfume, and its smell is very discreet, almost imperceptible, but reminiscent of the specific smell of SPF creams. Even if it is a white cream, it does not leave a whitish film like the creams with physical UV filters.

Personal experience
First I introduced the cream without SPF in my routine and then I discovered the version with SPF 25. I would have preferred it to be a higher SPF, especially in summer but I also trained it with other products.
First of all, I like the cream formula. It is a clean, does not contain irritants, has both UVB and UVA filters (it is very important to read the product labels with SPF and make sure they also have UVA filters), and the texture is suitable for my combination skin (I have chosen to put it in the mixed category because sometimes a little sebum appears in the T-zone, other times I face dry parts that need special care). I don't like gel textures or mattifying creams. I prefer rich, slightly greasy textures that make me feel like I have a protective film (but not too greasy though). If I apply more cream and feel that a film remains too thick, I take a napkin and tap the excess, and then I can apply makeup without problems.
In terms of protection, I can't give you a very radical position. I have been using creams with SPF for years because they are in my opinion the most effective anti aging products. (I invite you to read the article Everything you need to know about bronze and the sun protection factor) and I consider that I already see the effects because I don't have any sunspots, I don't feel my skin sensitized, wrinkles are only now starting to make their presence felt in the form of some fine lines, but I think that's natural after 30 years. However, my sincere opinion is that this product offers sufficient protection even when going to the beach if you reapply it regularly and in the recommended amount. In order to obtain the protection on the label, it is necessary to apply a quantity of 1.25ml on the face (and on the body of at least 6ml).
Conclusions and recommendations
CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 25 for normal to dry skin entered the top of my favorite SPF products. It is a product that I bought from Farmacia Tei and that I will buy again when it is finished. I really like the texture and I apply it quietly before makeup (I wait at least 5-10 minutes after), and I usually don't apply another foundation for the foundation because it seems to me that the skin texture is perfect for applying makeup. The ceramics do their job and feel just the touch.
Honestly, I think that this product could be tried by a person with combination skin, and if the skin feels too loaded, just tap the excess with a napkin just like I do.
CeraVe creams can now be found in Sensiblu Pharmacies, in Tei Pharmacies and on emag.ro. Lotion SPF 25 Facial Moisturizing Cream can be ordered online from here.

Seeing it in your daily routine, I decided to order it from emag.ro
Very rarely do I find a cream that I like but that really impressed me. I like its texture but also the texture of the skin after applying it. Aaa… I don't have dry skin, I have a normal skin and the cream is very ok. I don't use foundation in the summer because it seems to me that I load my face but in the cold season I still apply and I can't wait to see how the cream behaves under the foundation. Thanks for the recommendation, I do not regret buying it!
Hi, could you please tell me if you consider it necessary to use a face cream with SPF all year round? Thanks and have a nice evening!
Yes, it is necessary to use SPF cream every day. I recommend you read this article as well: http://ioanadumitrache.ro/2013/05/22/tot-ce-trebuie-sa-stii-despre-bronz-si-factorul-de-protectie-solara/
I am going to try more Cerave products too! The foaming cleansing gel has already conquered me!
Hi ! Do you think this cream is ok for a pregnant woman? I am currently using avene spf 20 and I would like to change it! I also mean the one without spf if you think it's ok.
Thank you
Yes, it is a cream with a clean formula. If you are not allergic to any of the ingredients on the list, then you do not have to worry.
Hello! Is this cream also good for a normal skin with a greasy tendency and even a predisposition to acne? I ask for my 16-year-old daughter.
Hello!
In principle, the formula should suit him. But this is a sunscreen, so you should first apply a moisturizer or an acne treatment cream (depending on your skin condition).
