Those of you who follow me on Instagram, especially on stories, you already know that last Friday I was invited to a pampering session at Pop-Up Hair Salon by NIVEA during which I had the opportunity to discover and test the new range for the first time. NIVEA Hairmilk. So I caught my hair in a careless mess and left it to the NIVEA specialists, especially since I was eager to find out everything about the new products for people with dry and damaged hair.

Description and formula NIVEA Hairmilk

The new products of the NIVEA Hairmilk range are inspired by the care ritual of Cleopatra, the famous milk baths for maintaining youth and beauty. Thus, the formula of the NIVEA Hairmilk range is based milk - a natural ingredient rich in mineral fats, vitamins and proteins which intensely moisturizes and cares for the hair.

The new NIVEA Hairmilk range contains 8 new products, divided into 3 categories depending on the thickness of the hair. I admit that I think it's a very good idea how they created the formulas because we, women with hair affected by constant dyeing, have different hair structures even if the problem is the same. So, despite the fact that we have damaged hair in common, the thickness of the hair is very important because it determines the mode and degree of absorption of the product, and implicitly the results obtained.

So the products of the new range are designed to provide personalized care, depending on the thickness of the hair - subtle, normal or thick.

NIVEA Hairmilk combines two benefits for dry and damaged hair that are usually not compatible: regenerates the hair from the inside to the outside without loading it. E.g, thin hair it needs products that give it volume, without loading it. Even if it is less pretentious, normal hair it must be cared for with products designed for it and the right hairdressing techniques, precisely to maintain its suppleness and health. According to specialists, thick hair it is the most difficult to maintain, dry and arranged, being often rough and cumbersome, and care products must restore its suppleness.

How to apply

I tested the shampoo, conditioner and spray conditioner with 7 benefits (also available for thin hair) for normal hair. The most enjoyable part was the shampoo which was quite delicate. This shampoo seems suitable even for people who wash their hair frequently, as I do. The smell is discreet, but pleasant and stays in the hair longer. After the two shampoos, I immediately apply the conditioner, which I leave on my hair for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. The conditioner has a very fine texture, leaving this sensation on the hair as well. Spray conditioner is applied on damp hair before styling to manage and strengthen the hair.

My impressions and conclusions

I fell in love with NIVEA Hairmilk products right from the first use. First of all, I like that I can use these products every day without feeling that my hair is loading or degreasing too much. I feel my hair soft after applying the conditioner to be rinsed and I do not feel the need to apply the spray conditioner every time I wash it.

I can't say anything about regenerating my hair because I haven't used it long enough for it to start growing new hair, but I like that before drying I feel like my hair seems to have a protective layer that prevents tangling. If you do not have serious problems with hair loss or breakage, I recommend you try the products of this range because compared to other mass-market products it seems to me that it offers extra protection that over time not only prevents hair damage, but also and improves the appearance.
