I never thought I would become a fashionista, and even now I don't have this image of myself, even though I have an increasingly solid education in fashion. But I have always considered that any person (whether female or male) should have a minimum of clothing education. First of all, to know how to dress depending on the context. You wouldn't like to look totally inappropriate at an event, would you? And secondly, it is important to make stylistic choices that benefit you in order to feel good.
But in addition to these things, I want to point out some pretty important things that helped me in my stylistic evolution. I simply discovered that I was putting limits and barriers on my own that had nothing to do with my personality or my true potential. And here I want to point out two things that have to do with my personal experience.
The first would be that despite the fact that since I was a child I had this inclination towards aesthetics, for a long time I had the impression that fashion site (or let's say it in Romanian - fashion), is a domain accessible only to a certain segment of the public. For a long time I associated fashion only with podium presentations, famous designers, extraordinarily expensive pieces and an extravagant style with which I did not identify at all. But as people consider fashion & beauty to be two rather superficial areas, and my general impression of fashion it was, in fact, very superficial. Fashion means more than that, and only through study did I manage to see that. Fashion is not just about branded clothes and eclectic outfits. In fact, I have come to see fashion as an instrument through which I can express my personality, which can help me gain advantages in certain situations (because we still live in the country where clothes make people, and the first impression really matters ) and that makes me feel good. Because if you like yourself, you're in a good mood, right?
The second thing I want to talk about is the limiting beliefs that limit our stylistic choices. These beliefs can come from within us or from without (from people around us who can be mean). And below I want to tell you about three of the prejudices that I have lived with for a long time and that have not brought me anything good.
- My arms are too thick and I can't wear sleeveless clothes. Do you take my word for it when I tell you that no one is looking at me to tell me that my arms are ugly or too thick? I've never received a comment on my arms because people aren't really interested in what others look like. Sometimes we are too hard on ourselves. And since 2015, when I started wearing T-shirts and sleeveless clothes, nothing has changed. People are moving in the same direction, only I am happier, and my stylistic options have multiplied.
- Culottes only fit filiform silhouettes. I admit that I read it somewhere, it wasn't just in my mind. That was until I took my heart in my teeth and tried on the first pair of culottes. And I found that I like what I see in the mirror, even if I'm only 1.60m.
- Strong colors attract attention and create the magnifying effect, so it would be better for people with full silhouettes to wear darker colors. But even here I want to share with you a secret: the proportions do not change regardless of the material or color of a coat. But an inappropriate cut can add volume where it is not. For example, you choose a dress that is wide on the body and with long and wide sleeves to camouflage a few coils (which almost everyone has), without seeing that in fact a cambered dress on the waist is thin, a neckline creates length, and some sleeves cut take from volume. Plus a play of colors, details and prints can create real benefits.
And to show you that fashion can be accessible to everyone and that all preconceived ideas about what we can and can't wear are totally unjustified, we created three outfits for you using pieces from summer collection TEX which is available in Carrefour stores, but you can also order it online from carrefour.ro/TEX.
In addition, I recommend you to see the line #TEXPlusSize which gives you clothes up to size 60.
Please tell me what your favorite outfit is and share with me the prejudices you have encountered!

So pretty, Ioana! I admit that you inspired me not to care what people might say and to have the courage to wear sleeveless blouses. I never did, not even when I was a teenager. That until last year. 😀
Many kisses!
The green dress is super cute 😁 hehe, there are many prejudices, but who else takes them into account?
You are super happy all the time and I think this is the most important coat. Regarding prejudices, even though I'm just 'a little' fluffy, the problem with my arms keeps hitting me. I had people who exclaimed: oo look what brand you have !!! .. and hence probably the idea that I don't like my arms but I still haven't solved it :(. Kiss you and continued success!
