Today I propose another collaboration between beauty bloggers whose motto is "When in doubt, wear red”. I liked this theme from the beginning. I like to wear red on my lips and I have noticed that it benefits me in many situations.
In fact, this is also my motto: when I run out of ideas, I wear red on my lips because I will know that I am not failing. Red lips are very sexy and not suitable for a business meeting or going to school, but that does not mean that they should be worn only for special events or evening outfits.
Below I tried to give you a little tutorial to manage to outline your lips with red lipstick as beautiful as possible. You have to keep in mind that perfection is achieved through practice. I practiced a lot at home and not once was I caught washing the dishes or wiping the dust "with my lips made" to quote my father.
Learn how to contour your lips
I advise you to apply a moisturizing balm on your lips when you start to put on make-up (step 1) and if you need to do a little scrub with your toothbrush if your lips are dry and full of peels. After applying the moisturizer you can continue to apply the usual makeup - foundation, powder, blush, eye makeup, etc. When you reach the lip make-up, remove the conditioner with a napkin to make it easier to apply the products (step 2).
Use a very sharp lip liner (step 3) and begin applying it with short, controlled movements from the center of the lip from the top to the outside (step 4) to the outer corner (step 5). Don't miss that area because it's so important!
Continuing the thin line of the upper lip, start contouring the lower lip from the outside to the inside halfway (step 6 and step 7). If it doesn't work out the way you want, you can delete it and try again.
Following the first steps we will start contouring the second half of the upper lip from the center to the outer corner (step 8 and step 9). Before moving on to the second half of the lower lip, everything should look like step 10. If all is well, continue the line of the upper lip with short movements towards the center of the lower lip (step 11), and at the end join with the starting line (step 12). So far the lips should look like in picture 13.
Before we start filling the contour, we must consider one aspect: if we have fuller lips, we can apply the lipstick directly on the lips. If our lips are thinner, it is recommended to use a brush for precise application.
As I applied the contour, I started applying the lipstick (step 14), and you can see the final result in pictures 15 and 16. As you can see from the pictures (with the naked eye it is difficult to notice), the lips are uneven, although I manipulated their natural shape. If you follow the natural contour of your lips, it is very likely that you will not have symmetrical lips. Nobody has them 🙂
Another thing that can be seen is that my teeth look whiter. I didn't bleach them, it's just the effect of red lipstick 😀
Below you have another proposal: to fill the lips with pencil for a longer lipstick resistance and a more rounded shape. I hope you enjoy!
